Our Inspection Process

Booking an Inspection

First, check the Queensland Pool Register to make sure that the intended pool is registered, before managing a booking.

Seek & obtain concent from neighbouring properties for access if dividing fences forms part of the pool barrier. However, it may not be necessary if the inside of the dividing pool barrier (owners side) is greater than 1800mm in height, is free from climbable objects in the NCZ (non-climable zone) and runs the entire span of the pool barrier.

Day of the Inspection

On the Day of the inspection, a careful examination of your safety barrier will be carried out, abiding to the current QLD Pool Fence & Safety Laws.

Pool safety inspections can usually take between 30 mintues to 1 hour depending on the size of the pool and the inspection will determine whether you receive ‘either’ a ‘Pool Safety Certificate’ of compliance or issued with a ‘Form 26 – non-conformity notice’.

Inspection Outcome

Pool Safety Inspections which successfully meet the current standards & regulations will be issued a Pool Safety Certificate.

A Pool Safety nonconformity notice (Form 26) is issued to swimming pools and/or spas which do not meet with the current Qld standards & regulations and is therefore ‘non compliant’. Reasons for non-compliance will be outlined in the Form 26, including recommendations and possible solutions in order to rectify these issues. A re-inspection is required within 3 months.
